FRENCH PHONICS GAMES
Printable 4-in-a-row boards
to practice searching for sounds in words
This easy to prep set of games to practice French sounds will get your students working on recognizing phonemes and graphemes in words.
By playing these French phonics games, kids will work with “les sons français” so that they improve their "conscience phonologique" (French phonemic awareness)
You know what they say: “Kids learn best when they're having fun!”
The game plays just like 4-in-a-row, but with a phonics twist.
Students roll or spin a sound, then cover an image representing a word that includes that sound.
Students take turns and the first to cover 4 images in a row WINS!
❤️ Your students will love playing the games without even realizing how much phonics practice they're getting.
They'll get better at recognizing French sounds in words. They'll roll a grapheme (print) and search for the phoneme (sound).
❤️ And you will save time because all you have to do is print and go!
